Student Health Insurance Compliance Verification & Hold Schedule

The new health insurance verification link is currently active.
Insurance Verification will take place January 1-February 28, 2026 and the NEW insurance verification link was emailed to students.
All students are required to have health insurance.
The cost of insurance is factored in tuition, however UAMS does not automatically enroll or pay for student coverage. UAMS active students may purchase the university sponsored insurance plan: Academic Health Plans (AHP). Enrollees must purchase AHP policy each semester for continuous coverage and students must enroll and pay out of pocket each semester. Plan rates are available now for 2025-26. Student must use UAMS email address to enroll.
Please do not use the old verification link. We have a new insurance verification system. Insurance emails were sent to students (4/16, 5/21, 6/16, 6/20, 6/30 and 7/8).
Holds are applied after deadline.

Ensuring that you stay healthy is important to UAMS. Therefore, a policy approved by the Board of Trustees (Policy 1260.1) requires all students to have health insurance coverage at all times. To meet this requirement students may obtain his/her own health insurance coverage or enroll in the university sponsored policy.
To provide proof of coverage and verify that minimal standards are met, students must input their coverage information into the student insurance portal link (shown above).
Please Note: If at any time it is discovered that a student is not covered by health insurance as required, the appropriate college will be notified and the student’s UAMS computer domain account will be placed on hold.
