Stipend Announcement
-The Chancellor has increased stipends for PhD students from $25,000 to
$30,000 for increases in health insurance and living costs. It will go into effect
July 1, 2020.
Laura Spradley
Geriatric Student Scholarship
-Offering a program for 2nd
-4th year degree seeking students
-A $1000 stipend to learn about geriatrics
-4 events throughout the year working on an interprofessional team
-One student from each college will be accepted
-A short essay is mandatory for the application
-To Apply: visit agec.org/studentscholar to download form

Student Financial Services
-Things you can do on GUS: pay tuition and fees, accept financial aid, view
schedule disbursement dates, check “to dos”, set up direct deposit, make
payment plan (within 30 days of class beginning), balance on acct
-Revision of student loans must be done on revision form (available on
website)—must be done within 120 days of loan disbursement
-make a budget!
-make sure to factor in summer time

making a budget
-FASFA for 2021 year opens Oct 1st
